Drawing Salve

$14.00

Drawing Salve is an old fashioned remedy for “drawing out” anything from splinters, to small bits of glass, to pus, to insect venom. The herb featured here is plantain leaf (Plantago major) which has been infused into the oil. Plantain has anti-bacterial/anti-microbial properties, inflammation modulating properties, it is also known for its moistening quality. This allows for the skin around a splinter or wound to soften, allowing the foreign material to come out more easily. Activated charcoal powder and bentonite clay also help draw out and absorb things like pus, excess fluid, insect venom, poison ivy oils, etc. To use, cover the affected area with a think layer of the salve. Cover with a bandage. Change the dressing 1-2 times per day, making sure to wash off salve. Reapply the salve as needed until the foreign material can be removed or until there are signs of improvement. Can be repeated as many times as needed. Also contains lavender essential oil to prevent infection.
